A higher-strength medicated grouse grit from Owens Nutrition, made from consistently graded Cornish quartz grit with added waterproofing. Contains Flubendazole at 1500g/tonne to target all stages of Trichostrongylus tenuis (Strongyle worm), helping to reduce worm burdens, improve body condition, and increase chick survival rates in red grouse.

Why Feed Medicated Grit?

• Quartz grit in the gizzard aids digestion of heather shoots, which make up approximately 80% of the fibrous diet of a grouse
• Medicated grit targets Trichostrongylus tenuis, a parasitic threadworm that lives in the gut of red grouse, more commonly known as Strongylosis or Strongyle worm

• A veterinary prescription is required to purchase medicated grit
• All medicated grit must be removed 28 days before grouse are harvested and consumed
• Plain grit can be put out to replace medicated grit so grouse can continue to benefit
• All Owens Nutrition grit is supplied in 25kg packs
